Just couldn't resist this after all the "spam in..." posts.
Ingredients
2 baking potatoes, cut into 1/8-inch slices
1 (12-ounce) can SPAM® Lite, cubed
1 cup thinly sliced carrots
1 cup thinly sliced onion
1/2 cup thinly sliced celery
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon coarsely ground black pepper
3/4 teaspoon dried thyme leaves
1 (16-ounce) can no-salt-added green beans, drained
1 (16-ounce) can no-salt-added whole tomatoes, drained and chopped
1 (5-1/2-ounce) can no-salt-added vegetable juice cocktail
Butter-flavored nonstick cooking spray
Cook potatoes in boiling water 3 minutes or until crisp-tender. Drain. In large skillet, cook SPAM® until browned; remove from skillet. Add carrots to skillet; sauté 4 to 5 minutes. Add onion, celery and garlic; sauté until tender. Combine flour, pepper and thyme. Stir flour mixture into vegetable mixture; cook 1 minute, stirring constantly. Add SPAM®, green beans, tomatoes and vegetable juice cocktail. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove skillet from heat; arrange potato slices over top. Spray potato slices with cooking spray. Broil 6 inches from heat source 10 minutes or until golden.
That was pretty avant-garde, wasn't it? |

Your recipe says SPAM® Lite. So, not proper spam then? _________________ Bye, Rhakios |

I've got about 10 more pounds to drop and I need to get my LDL below 100.
<cue commercial jingle--roll sizzling spam footage>
So when kilikopele opts for SPAM, it's gotta be SPAM LITE.

Sunday afternoon with so many outside jobs to do and lousy weather, why should I feel bored? _________________ Unix is user-friendly. It's just very selective about who it's friends are. |

You should feel happy that you have a valid excuse not to do the outdoor jobs. That tends to be my view anyway, but then I incline somewhat towards indolence <yaaawn!> _________________ Bye, Rhakios |

Just noticed that kilikopele is a Pink Floyd fan.
You could never get famous doing stuff like that these days.
