From my experience the other day trying to get printers to work with Vista, it isn't a copycat OS- it has all new ways of breaking things.
It certainly isn't production ready.
They didn't copy any OS, not one that works properly anyway _________________ The sig between the asterisks is so cool that only REALLY COOL people can even see it!

Speaking of Vista..
I had an amazing stroke of luck the other day. I walked into a second hand store in town and noticed amongst a pile of odds and sods, a very clean copy of Vista Beta 2 (build 5384.4). Inside its plastic wallet, it had both the 64 & X86 versions. The inside cover also had the serial numbers.
I asked the lady at the counter how much she wanted for it and said...
$A5.00. (That's about 1 Pound 12 shillings in the olde money..)
Mind you, some would say I paid too much...even at that price...

Not really. (said sheepishly).
I'm not sure whether I was hypnotized by the woman's ample cleavage, or the fact that for last three months, virtually every ten seconds, there seems to have been another one of those bloody Vista adverts on Tv.
Damm you to hell Gates...

Yours must work differently to mine. I find sensory information entering through the eyes reaches my brain before it gets to other parts of my body.
I must say though, that I resent advertisers trying to use my cupidity to get me to buy things that are not even remotely associated in nature with heaving bosoms, winsome pouting or any other aspects of femininity. _________________ Bye, Rhakios |

Didn't you say you worked for a builder's merchant? Must make your time in the office very annoying. |

Our "decorative" calendar this year is from a calendar company, it is merely telling you that you can buy such a calendar with your name on it, that's truth in advertising!
As for the young ladies handling tools/building accessories in various catalogues, they don't show them on the price list pages, which are the ones I look at. I have no objection to them gulling our clueless customers
(Actually, our point of sale is pretty devoid of flashy publicity material, mostly because every Tom, Dick and Rep wants to put their rubbish up and there just isn't the space for it). _________________ Bye, Rhakios |
