Granted, I understand that I'm relatively new here.
Now, with that said, when does a person become an LXF Regular? I feel so second class being nothing more than an LXF Irregular.

LOL. I've seen plenty of slagging at 1sf (troll). Didn't realize I needed to heap my own animous upon him. I'm just being a good lurker and waiting for him to piss on me first.
Besides, since I maintain my status as LXF Irregular, technically, 1sf (troll) is a higer-class citizen than I.
Now isn't THAT a suicidal thought! |

In fact, I think it might be the 100 post mark which gets you to be a regular. But you might as well get there by having a stab at 1sf (troll) at least a few times.
As for 1sf (troll) being a higher class, there are only two classes here: the users and the admins: fear the admins

Route to LXF regular, at some point you must complete this quest:
1. Complain about magazine plastic DVD holders, or lack thereof
2. Complain about magazine glue holding DVD case to front of mag with vice like grip.
Unfortunately this right of passage has been removed due to above issue.
3. Complain about magazine cover price.
4. Ask for online version or mag only version of lxf.
5. Stop asking which distro is best to install and start predicting the year of the desktop.
6. Stop predicting the year of the desktop.
7. Post about how you got into using Linux.
8. Install a particular distro at least 3 times in one day......except not on different machines
8.2 Totally hose your live system at a point where your really happy with it (see above).
9. Discuss Marreas knitting, again this is now a little tricky due to alledged closure on woolen based activities. BUT its a must!
10. Install all the top 100 of distrowatch in either qemu or vmware.
And that my friend, is the path to true LXF enlightenment (not to be confused with the WM).
EDIT:
PS. If I had my way, there would be successfully compile, install and use your own kernel at number 11. But I don't make the path rules, so I guess its not on there. |

nordle: First, you must have missed my comment on how much I used to love the gorilla snot on the covers that allowed me to stick the mags and disc cases to the ceiling and walls for easy access.
Second, to all: Sorry about the misspelling of higer for higher. I normally take pride in my spelling and grammar, but not in my typing prowess.
Finally, (7) I originally got into Linux because I had heard that 2007 would be the year of the desktop (5) and I wanted to be ready. Now, I don't really care about the year of the desktop (6) because I spent a weekend installing Ubuntu, then Kubuntu, then Xubuntu on my Intel810 box only to discover that I liked Ubuntu best, so I had to start over. (8 & 8.2) Now I've decided to give up and take up knitting with Marreas (9) because the magazine cover price is too high on this side of the pond (3) and there was no response to my request for an online version of the mag. (4) Besides, 1slipperyfish (troll) is a citizen here and I'm not, and I just can't reconcile that. (That's one, Rhakios!)
I'm off, now, because I have a feeling assignment number 10 is going to take me a while--especially if I try using Qemu to build a "Linux From Scratch" system so that I can wipe out your number 11 as well!
And for the record, my name is Christopher, which I translated to Kilikopela in Hawaiian. I changed it to Kilikopele because it sounds more Italian. If that doesn't show what a mess I am, I don't know what will! |

Nice try, but you've got to put all your qualifying posts in different threads; ideally starting your own brand new thread on exactly the same subject someone has done before, but with a slightly different title.

I'd carry through on that, but I've seen what you did to the ipod spammer and would rather not be spanked today. |

It said "spam me senseless", not "spank me senseless".
Anyway, 1sf (troll) is the only one on these forums into spanking (at least so far as confessions go) and he doesn't seem to be around today. _________________ Bye, Rhakios |

Please, don't take his name in vain, that really upsets him.
