I have been given the task of adding sections to a website.
The server is set up to map certain folders such as
/sectionname/
to index.php?section=sectionname
I've modified index.php to handle these new sections, but cannot work out how these virtual folders have been implemented, given that the host's email forwarded to me gives me only FTP, frontpage and phpmyadmin login details: no Control Panel. I would imagine that frontpage might be able to help, but I don't have a copy.
Any ideas? _________________ OpenSUSE 10.2, WinXPHome

If it's an apache web server, it's probably using mod_rewrite in an .htaccess file. You may need to configure your FTP client to show hidden files if you don't see a .htaccess file at first. _________________
