Ahh yeah, Amiga demo's were great, was amazing what they could fit into so small a file.
some of the 15k demo's were awesome
I remember like a week or two after the Amiga 500 was released in the UK, my friend got one, it was great and I was hooked, took me nearly a year saving pocket money + what I had saved to buy my own.
worth every penny though, even now some 15 years or so later, I still have fond memories
If it wasn't for the Amiga I would likely never have gotten into making computer based music, 1st with protracker and samples, nowadays with modplug (win32 :p) and VSTi's (wish I could find something in linux that worked as well (tracker that can use VSTi's)) |
