Just installed SuSE 9.3 on my main dev box and it;s running like a dream Smile

Sadly I still need to use Instant Messenger so GAIM is the order of the day. BUT .. gaim seems to have packed up on me and wonlt connect to the MS network. I noticed when I booted my Windows machine earlier it mentioned there was a program update from MS - does it still follow that new Microsoft updates cripple 3rd party clients or is there something deeper at work here ?

Cheers

GAIM tells me :

Connection error from Notification Server (ip here) : Reading Error.

Also it seems, Evolution wouldnlt get my mail, but Thunderbird would.

Curiouser and curiouser ...

If it doesn't want to tell you what the update is specifically, i'd turn it off. "deeper" ... about as deep as the abyss (grin)
