Does anybody know who the current owners of Zenith Data Systems are ?
I've bought an old Zenith Z-note 433Lnc+ laptop on ebay and want to change some of the power management features. Unfortunately you need the supervisor password to do this, and I don't know that. I'm hoping someone in the company will still know how to bypass this.
No, I'm not about to ram Linux onto this (I learned my lesson as far as Linux and 486 laptops goes when I put Slackware on an old Ergo a year or two back) - this one was bought so I can have a play with Minix...

OK, immediate problem solved... the guy I bought the laptop from came through with the bios password.
I'd still be interested to know what happened to Zenith, though.
Now, how do I mark this thread as "solved" ? _________________ Hope this helps,

Probably, based on experience with other fora, edit your original posting title _________________ Derek |
