loggin on as root in KDE3.4

Postby Guest » Mon May 09, 2005 11:12 am

I've just updated my suse 9.1 to KDE 3.4 and cant logon as root anymore.
SU'ing works but not loggin on directly as root.

I've tried changing several options in YAST but to no avail.

Anyone have an idea of where to look for the answer?

why would you want to log in as root to an X-windows environment?
doesn't kdm offer you a console login?
still looking for that door into summer

Try KDE Control Centre > System > Login Manager > Admin Mode can you change it from there?
