Is anyone else using firefox 1.5 RC1?
If so are you having any problems with this site. I get a link in the top left corner (http://www.linuxformat.co.uk/wiki) which pushes every thing of the right hand side of the screen. Also the spacing in the Forum is wrong. I have to scroll right (again) to see what has been writen.
I know this isn't LXF fault as it works in 1.0.7 and the dreaded IE, but I'm just wondering if it is my setup or is it 1.5rc1?
Thanks |

Hi,
I've just tried it with FF 1.5 RC 1, and can't see any issues with LXF and its sub-sites. Are you referring to the cycling advert in the top-left which sometimes links to the Wiki? Also, on the forum (1024x768 resolution) I don't get any side-scrolling either. Weird though, as we're both using the same browser release...
Could you maybe post a screenshot showing the problem, or email it to me (mike.saunders@futurenet.co.uk) please?
Cheers,
M |

| It has been solved. It seemed to be something with my set up, as when I uninstalled it and removed all my settings, then reinstalled it it all worked fine. |

I'm still having this problem, only on this site.
ATM, I'm running WinXP and FF 1.5.
Here is a screenshot.

Do you have some sort of image/advert blocker enabled? It looks like the rotating box ad in the top-left corner is being replaced with a text link, thereby making the left pane huge...

When Adblock is disabled, the wiki logo shows up.
But in my Adblock I can see no reference to Linux Format or http://www.linuxformat.co.uk/wiki/ or wiki-ad.gif |

How strange... All I can think is that Adblock considers the image dimensions and assumes it's an advert straight away -- or maybe it sees that the image link URL includes the word 'banner' and blocks it on that basis...
