Profile and password problem [Solved]

Postby cbuffer » Tue May 13, 2014 5:00 pm

The email address in my profile is long out of date. I cannot remember my password. When I log in the database rejects my password but when I retry the password appears (hidden) as soon as I type in my username and allows me to log in. How can I find my password since if I click on "Forgotten" the database sends it to a defunct address? If I try to use my present address it naturally rejects it as not matching the username.

TIA Ken

Which browser? If it's Firefox (and that is what is remembering your password, rather than it being done by cookie), then Edit>Preferences>Security>Saved Passwords then search for one associated with linuxformat and click on show passwords.

Chrome has a similar function.

Enjoy the Choice :)

Thank you both. I'd been searching through my hard drive for possible storage - it hadn't occurred to me look in firefox. Put it down to old-age.

Regards,

Ken
