Idea for the new mag

Postby heiowge » Thu Jan 23, 2014 9:47 am

Is there any chance that since the mag has less pages than it used to, we could not waste half a page every month with an update on how LibreOffice is doing?

It's great that they do so much over there, but every month there's half a page by Michael Meeks telling us what the LibreOffice team has done this month. Not necessary. Does anyone actually read it?

Seems a little unfair to say he only talks about LibreOffice. Sure, he does mention what the team have been doing - new features etc, but Michael also goes to a lot of conferences and events, and he provides a lot of interesting comments about new areas of development in open source, and that's why we keep running his column.

Having said that, we have cut some of the flab from the news pages to create space for content later in the mag that adds more value.

Indeed. I also enjoy reading his column - so that's three of us for starters! :)
