Hi all,
When I try to use the live disk to try ubuntu the menu appears, but when I select ubuntu the screen goes grey with a cursor flashing in the top left corner of the screen. This lasts for a few seconds and then the screen reports "no signal"
I am using an AZUS F1A 55-MLX series motherboard with onboard AMD graphics chip type HD6410D.
I think this problem can be cured by inserting "nomodset" into grub but can find no way of doing this. I have tried holding down the shift key during boot and also pressing the F6 key.
I have tried other disks and distributions with the same result.
Any help much appreciated. |
