Well let me enlighten you. My Vista Laptop has not been on for months
so I decided to get it ready to go on holiday with. What a bloody nightmare...
Updates galore, reboots galore, one major crash and 11 hours later...
What an effing PITA. Why oh why oh why? /Me shakes my head in despair!
This Debian tool updates at my request about every 3 months and is done
in less than an hour or so without reboots... No wonder I don't touch
WIndwoes anymore except out of necessity at work...

Now for my intravenous caffeine intake to _calm_ my nerves...

Lol windows 7 won't let me play games (The only reason I use it), and I have installed the same updates on it about 50 times.
Saving up for an SSD then gonna do a clean reinstall
I still can't get over the fact that the 'solution' to stop installing the same updates is the 'hide' them, not to find the root cause... Oh windows.

If you only use Windows for work, why do you need to update it to go on holiday?

I wiped my windows partition at home and installed Fedora 17. Felt good.
Required Window's for a bit of software that I used for an Open Uni course I was doing. I just have the exam to go, so I dont' need it anymore - hurrah!
Thought I will install Windows 7 again since I tend to play games on PC rather than console. |
