Unfortunately, it will close dolphin before I get to type the code. Sad

Run the command then close dolphin, that's what the sleep is for.

Nelz, I think you mis-read, that merely shows grep is running a search for dolphin. It is just ps picking up itself.

You're right, which is why I prefer pgrep, it avoids this conuision and only returns output if the program you are looking for is running. I switched to pgrep a while ago, but because I used an alias for this, I forgot all about it.
