| Bought a motherboard Ga-h61m-s2pv (GigaByte) bundle. Connected it up. OS (Ubuntu) fired up but no onboard LAN. Tried to enter BIOS - not possible. Cleared CMOS etc. Nothing. Will not start up now - just blue screen. Mobo is DualBios UEFI. Any thoughts? |

Find manual. Look up page in manual about entering BIOS. Perform as written in manual. Done |

Talk to your supplier?
UEFI boards are not as accessible as older mobos.
To access the bios, press delete key repatedly during boot up _________________ The sig between the asterisks is so cool that only REALLY COOL people can even see it!

In previous years, and therefore for much older hardware, I've had 2 different manufacturer mobos which, if you changed a CPU or cleared the CMOS required a special action to get them operational on bootup. In these cases the action was the same - you needed to hold down the INS key, and then you would get to a special BIOS screen to allow setting parameters and boot up.
It took quite a while, and a chance posting somewhere before I even found the info about this procedure, even though it was in the manual (but, possibly, not as clearly as it might have been).
I mention this, as both cases the mobo wouldn't enter BIOS and seemed quite dead until I did it!
