It did smell distinctly porky, it has been deleted. The responsible party, Adamrock, now needs deleting.
Resurrecting threads from as long ago as 2005 really does wave the spam-flag as vigorously as possible. Rolling Eyes

With Mike stepping down as forum guru, it would be a good time to finally upgrade the forum software to a new, spam-resistant version by the new masters of this parish Smile

I know the decision to keep the old platform wasn't Mike's, Future would be wise to bite the bullet and launch the LXF forums into the 21st century Razz

ISTR Mike saying that there wasn't a phpBB3 package for the distro running on the server, which would mean manual installation and maintenance. There are still plenty of people available to wave the ban hammer.

These posters have been noted. sujith34 has had his account disabled for an untoward comment elsewhere, hence his guest status. The original post has been left, as it is, strictly speaking, on topic.
You might notice some other "pre-spam" postings as well, I'm waiting for a moderators' consensus to emerge, or just some heavy-handed spam-hammering from an admin will do. Smile
