I am trying to download the isos for the precise linux flavour of
64 bit Red Hat 9
And can't find it on the public internet.
I probably need to avoid usenet accounts and file sharing/torrents.
Could someone give a URL for the public internet which links to the available iso files for
64 bit Red Hat 9

RH9 is way outdated. So much so that it doesn't have a 64 bit version so you're unlikely to find it, simply because it doesn't exist... Try Fedora instead, IIRC the latest version is 11, or maybe even 12...
(yes, I ran RH9 way back in ancient history when a 1 GHz proc wasn't available for affordable prices and 512 MB RAM was a high-spec feature... ) |

I am using Oracle VM virtual box on 64 bit Windows 7.
It does support 64 bit Red Hat 9, and I do specifically recall
that there was a non-$ version of Red Hat 9 64 available for the public.
And while I do understand that it has been superceded,
I still ask if there's any smart cookies in at Linux Format
who know where I could get the installation content/isos
for this? |

| The AMD64 Opteron CPU was released in April 2003, after Red Hat 9 (Shrike) was released in March 2003, so there was only an IA-64 version. This is not compatible with AMD64 processors. |
