I came across hotpicks on LXF145 issue. Reviewed my tool "giis for ext4". It encouraged/prompted me to rewrite an old tool name "extcarve".
Summary -
extcarve is a ext2/ext3/ext4 file recovery and semantic file carving tool. It can recover a range of file formats, including PNG, JPG, GIF, PDF,FIG/TGZ/ZIP, C/C++ programs, PHP, and HTML.
It's similar to a tool like foremost. You can download it from giis.co.in/giis

I included the software because I thought it was very interesting, if a little rough around the edges, so I am pleased this has prompted you to do some more work on it. Good job! |

Thanks evilnick  . Though I'm not a regular reader (I believe LXF not available in india) I liked LXF contents.
