PCLinuxOS 0.93a "BigDaddy" has now been released. It builds on the Junior version (http://www.linuxformat.co.uk/index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&t=3963) and Mini-Me, but is now approaching a full CD. Thanks to Texstar splitting KDE into smaller packages and stripping out some of the bloat, it still runs pretty quickly, at the same time creating space for OpenOffice 2.0.3. The "official" announcement is here:

http://www.pclinuxos.com/forum/index.php?topic=9076.0

and an early review is here:

http://www.tuxmachines.org/node/9123

I've run the LiveCD so far, I'm going to install it on a spare partition, but first impressions look very good. Remember that to get the UK keyboard from the live CD, you need to press "E" twice to edit the GRUB line and change keyb=us to keyb=uk. Then press ENTER, then "B" to boot. You can also add something like xres=1280x1024 to change the default resolution from 1024x768. Most other hardware should be autodetected.

If you have already installed Mini-Me or Junior and built up the software packages to your own spec, there is little to add here. It's a nice LiveCD, though, with a full range of packages.
