Short version: make sure you generate your Windows 8 rescue media before installing Linux, because chances are (were for me, anyway), you'll have to wipe the entire thing, and you'll have to pay Toshiba for the privilege of replacement media if you trash your Windows 8 partitions, if you didn't generate your rescue media first.</description>

                                      As the title says I recently had to buy a new laptop, unfortunitely I did net read the specs, and I have ended up with a Windows 8 laptop,&lt;br /&gt;
as of today I have had no joy in removing the said OS.&lt;br /&gt;
I need to get rid of windows and install 12.04, is there any way to do this I have googled and tried suggestions but to no avail.&lt;br /&gt;
Or am I stuck with this donkey until I can resell.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
As always all help, ideas and suggestions greatly appreciated&lt;br /&gt;
