                                      Assuming you have the repo's set up properly, and there is indeed a GUI in there, issue these commands&lt;br /&gt;

                                      I have installed 64Studio 2.1 (based on Debian) from a DVD and it brings me to a text prompt, but no graphical desktop. I tried typing &amp;quot;startx&amp;quot;, but it didn't recognise the command. This exhausted my expertise and has left me with an installation that I can't use. Is there some way to get into the graphical desktop, assuming that it uses one?</description>
