I too was a Mandrake fan(after an initial affair with Caldera, Storm linux, and Suse 7.1) even subscribed to Mandrake club for 2 years... then suse 9.1 personal wooed me away, and before long I was a Suse junkie.. I upgraded to 9.2, then 9.3, and my testbed server now runs Suse ES..... It`s a slippery downward slope into Novell world.. a place I swore I would never return to after leaving Novell 3.1....

Does anyone know if there is a Suse anonymous group I could sign up with?

Oh, I just managed to get it so it wouldn't boot. I cant remember how I got it there but it began with not being able to play Eternal-Lands anymore...I just kept going at it until it was no more....lol

Luckly I have a server so re-installing is never a problem, and messing up a Linux computer is a bit of a learning curve in itself....you find out there are tons of ways to fix things that you didnt even know about!!

linuxgirlie ... how did you "wreak" you setup in the first place ... ?, it ain't that easy to wreak a linux, but not impossible either (grin)

nano has won me over, still like joe cos of wordstar reminders oh happy days when who needed more than 640 Kb of ram and a 60Mb hdd was huge

Keep at it with YAST linuxgirlie. I find YAST to be terrific for managing the GRUB bootloader, I tend to have mmore than one distro installed at any one time. Currently I have a quadruple boot (all linux distros) system and YAST is a great help

I have Xmms, I was just testing amarok to see what I thought of it! I have been using ubuntu for Karoshi to make it distro friendly and I really dont like it, that and debian which is my worst nightmare of an OS!!

You could always install xmms if you wanted to, I have both.
