Well, the Amiga did have a head start, Linux is less than 19 years old. But the answer would be none, because someone would fix the code.

Bazza wrote:

Thousands still use it so it can`t be all bad, AND, it is still being worked on.

And millions use Outlook, your point is?

The worst thing about this problem, and it affected Outlook too, is that it didn't affect YAM users because their mailer didn't do proper threading. So they were happily breaking threads and spoiling things for the rest, and when told about it the general attitude was "it works for me so I don't care".

If it finally respects the standards, good, but it flouted them for long enough to leave a bad taste with those that did not use it but had to suffer its vandalism.

Be interesting to know how many Linux flavour email clients
are still around after 17+ years, munged headers or not...

Thousands still use it so it can`t be all bad, AND, it is still
The munged headers were still there nine years ago, when I last tried it. You didn't have to try it to see they were broken, just read a mailing list with a threaded mail client to see how a thread fractured every time a YAM user posted to it.

Adding fancy features to a broken base is pointless, you can't polish a turd.

                                      Hi nelz...

That was bloody years ago, 15?, jeez a lot of water
has gone under the bridge since then...

It is now a good general purpose Email client...

MUI has not been touched for at least a decade AFAIK
so may still have many issues and be unstable at times,
but really, who cares as AMIGAs are fun machines still
capable of doing some serious tasks.

I can`t say that about Linux or Windows when something
goes awry. These can be a RPITA to solve in the event
of failure, email client or not...

                                      Hi nelz...

> Is it still as standards non-compliant as ever?

But of course; where would one be without something to
configure to one`s liking?

It is still seriously quick and versatile however.
