I have to say I was looking up low loader rental prices when the email came in, just as well I had Gmail open in a windows I guess.

I'm just glad that we will be able to park both bikes, there is only one condition and that is that the 2nd permit cannot be used for a car which isn't an issue

Had to read the email 3 times to make myself believe it!

At a fee too i bet ... but yes ... very good.

I was just about to suggest to try a couple of cut outs, cardboard ... two sides of a 4 wheel critter ... and then to place your bike(s) in between ... but, hmmmm, some ideas, well, you never know some times (grin)

hmmm ... now to go and read the rest of the thread .

Ben can still have it, park the bike on it and sell the 2nd permit at a knock down price to a neighboure

A victory for common sense... treasure it, they're few & far between.

Congrats, Ben - it must have been very tempting to get the low-loader in rather than continue politely playing the system. I'm not sure I would have had the patience.

So, how exactly is a legally-parked (I hope ) bike p***ing off residents? Does it growl or spout off obscenities at them as they walk past it?

Well the faltbed is looking more and more likely, the council seem to be stalling now. My partner received a note this morning laccy banded to her bike from a resident of the street we park on (ive censored parts of it with stars jsut in case any kids are reading )

I was a member of the BMF for a while, but then I had to stop because it was an extra expense and I am supposed to be budgeting. No post today it woulde seem, though thats nothing new for a monday.

Definitely worth an idea, I had thought similar about meeting the principal parking officer but an elected official would be much better.

Oddly I had just finished reading this months edition of Bike when the notification came through.

No post tomorrow but there may be a letter from The PPO Mon or tues, if not I'm going to set the wheel rolling on the next step, whatever that may be
