Shame about the BBC and MS, but they are not alone.
Interesting how many people on there are complaining about paying for a service that they "don't use".
I rarely watch ANY TV. and yet I pay for all of it- I pay the licence fee, yes, but I pay for Commercial TV every time I purchase an item that is advertised on Commercial TV..I also subsidise Magazines and newspapers that I never read, radio staions that I never listen to..etc..
All in all it probably adds up to far more per year than the licence fee, yet I have no option not to pay for it.
I must admit to bias, because I do listen to BBC radio a lot, on air and internet.

I cringed reading the BBC's justification for it. Like hasn't the open source community made significant contributions to developing software and driving new applications? Go and maketh your feelings known.

BBC is to working with Microsoft for there website, this could be dangers to FLOSS users.
