You can find out information about the owner of the domain part of the address, try http://www.samspade.org. Bear in mind that the address shown in the From field of the mail may not be the actual sender.

It's very difficult to tie it down to a particular person unless they've made it public in some way (maybe they've left details -- which might be false -- in some email directory or on a forum).

Exactly what are you trying to do?
