you can get right angle adapters or m/f cables for peanuts on ebay.
Don't know if they take carrots though....

the Cotton Candy would have to hang out the back of your tv, but the pi has a hdmi 'Receptacle' (hole to plug a cable in (this is what I was trying to point out in the other thread)) so you can plug a hdmi cable in and have it as far away as you want

8 Pis would cost more than a Cotton Candy and you still have to find cabling, ethernet and USB hubs and some sort of enclosure... and then get it to hang out of the HDMI port on the back of your TV.

Here we go, for a mere �40 above the price of the Cotton Candy, you could "own" both of them and you get a handy mouse and keyboard thrown in.

I really like these Acer machines, small format, efficient, good selection of ports and cheap!

Fair enough. I just wondered whether you could totally own the cotton candy's specs for the same money with just raspberry pi's and connection cables etc.

Also, the Pi cluster would consume eight times as much power (assuming that both devices use all the power available over USB).
