                                      A bit like Apple's Airport Express then? I don't know if anyone has succeeded in hacking one to get Linux on it, a quick glance at Google would suggest not.</description>

Rhakios, thank you so much. I couldn't remember any of them but yes, that was one of them. And I have a starting point for some searching now so thanks a lot!&lt;br /&gt;

I may get that one, but I'll continue to see if there's an even more convenient model. My fantasy is something that basically *is* a wall plug, with an ethernet connection and built in wifi. Fat chance eh?&lt;br /&gt;

                                      I remember seeing the occassional review of a very small linux server in LXF over the years. They were about the size of a socket adaptor and you could run a server off it.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Does anyone know what these were? I'm doing a lot of PHP and running the lot from a mains outlet with a wireless connection would be ideal instead of having an old headless box uglifying the front room.&lt;br /&gt;
