If you're thinking about subscribing to LXF and are currently not completely convinced, check out the new subs gift that will be going live from LXF107:

Yes, it's an LXF-branded coffee mug. Our subs team are incredibly creative, don'tcha know. Of course, you'll only get one of them, but it's neat nonetheless. If you're already a subscriber and won't be renewing any time soon, you'll have to content yourself with this excellent picture of our very own Graham Morrison using his LXF mug:

When I saw the headline in my reader I thought you were calling your readers mugs. The mugs look delightfully geektastic.
Perhaps you ought to try

Perhaps you ought to try selling them as well, or even giving some to long-time subscribers/forum members (hint, hint).

Sorry Rhakios and Towy, but that's all we have in the office. You can try prising a mug out of Effy's hands but I wouldn't recommend it... :-)

I don't want to sound

I don't want to sound ungrateful or greedy, but why do those of us on permanent, rolling subscriptions get nothing? Is it because the publisher would rather have the security of knowing you're in it for at least a year, rather than, in my case, possibly only as far as the next quarter?
It is common, and not just

It is common, and not just in the publishing industry, to not give anything to existing customers. It is all about acquisitions, how many new customers can you get. Think about it, your ISP, your cell phone company, etc, all the same. Linux format is different, we actually get to interact with the authors which I think is very cool.

About gifts to people who is
Javier (not verified) - May 19, 2008 @ 9:56pm
About gifts to people who is renewing subscriptions: My girlfriend is a subscriber of an Spanish travel magazine, which is much much cheaper than LXF. I think it's 25-30 eur/year (12 issues). She gets the gift for new subscribers everytime she renews her subscription. It's sad when I compare it with the LXF subscriptios (sooo expensive and no gifts for international subscribers :-( )

Javier: if we ever manage to

Javier: if we ever manage to sort out some Linux stickers, I can see no reason why they wouldn't be available to everyone.
