Just drop some of these quotes into your water cooler conversations. Love it!

Ah, smugness, the generalisation the lesser give the better when they run out of words and start clenching their fists or grasp for the profane. I guess you should never show up people in conversation, but dumb yourself down to the general beer-swilling population whose main concern seems to be the price of alcohol and tobacco. I can only say that the feeling of contempt you get from people who think you are better than them is only surpassed by the feeling of contempt you get from people who know you are better than them, a feeling I am far too familiar with.

lurgee, shouldn't that be "a feeling with which I am far too familiar"?

I'll blame that oversight on my pure-bred cat spilling a bottle of Latour Pauillac, 1973 over the keyboard. I'd venture a guess and say that would rattle the best of us.

Ugh. The '71 is so much more palatable. I don't know why I'm conversing with such an unrefined pleb. Shoo!

I would never dream of bringing any of my '71's close to my keyboard, that is strictly for consumption in my winter garden while leafing through some of Whitman's poetry.
That they would even consider selling a bottle of '71 to a person of such utter contempt for wine is beyond me and it saddens me that the wine industry has become more concerned with turning a quick buck than turning out good wines to people who know how to appreciate it.

A copy of the Beano and half a pint of Lambrini...
I know my place. :D
